For a woman, who for personal reasons,
feels her breast size is too small, too large or not contoured
enough, cosmetic breast surgery can
be the answer.
For women seeking larger breasts,
the surgeon can insert implants filled
with saline (salt) solution to
improve
the contour and increase the size of the breast.
For women who desire smaller breasts, your surgeon can reduce the size of
the breast through the removal of fatty tissue, then reshape the smaller
breast.
Also often included in breast surgery is the breast lift. This procedure removes excess skin from the lower part of the breast to raise sagging
breasts thus reshaping and lifting the breast for a more complementary figure.

BREAST AUGMENTATION
During a breast enlargment, also
called a Breast Augmentation, the surgeon inserts an implant filled
with
saline
(salt) solution
to
improve
the contour and increase the size of the breast. Personal preferance
and desired physique are used to determine the size of implant
used.
BREAST REDUCTION
Breast Reduction, also called Reduction Mammaplasty,
is designed to relieve the physical discomfort often associated with
very large breasts and enhance the over-all appearance of your breasts.
The procedure removes excess breast tissue and skin, making your breasts
smaller and firmer. The areola (The pigmented skin surrounding the
nipple) may be reduced and repositioned. Individual factors and person
preference will determine the specific technique selected to reduce the
size of your breasts. There are many variations to the design of the
incisions for breast reduction. The size and shape as well as the
desired amount of reduction, are factors that will help your plastic
surgeon determine the best technique for you.
BREAST LIFT
Breast lift, or Mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to
raise and reshape sagging breasts. If your breasts are small or have
lost volume – for example, after pregnancy – breast implants
inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both firmness and
size.
The surgery for mastopexy usually
takes 1˝ to 3 hours. Techniques vary, but the most common procedure
introduces an
anchor–shaped incision following the natural contour of the breast.
The incision outlines the area from which breast skin will be removed
and define the new location of the nipple. Your satisfaction with a
breast lift is likely to be greater if you understand the procedure
thoroughly and if your expectations are realistic.
